Jean-Jacques Rousseau was also a musician and composer and he loved playing the flute when out on his walks. While we don’t have exact information on what kind of flute he played, the most common flute at the time was the Baroque flute, also known as the traverso.

We’ve opted for the very similar, but more accessible and “down to earth” 6-hole transverse, diatonic flute in "D" with which you can play two and a half octaves. Handcrafted from walnut by Lajos Balint Hollokoi by Hungarian Folk Music.
