Inspired by political activist Katharine Hamnett, whose t-shirts have advanced pro-choice, anti-racist, and environmental messages. George Michael wore her "CHOOSE LIFE" shirt in the music video for "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go." The slogan comes from Charlotte Perkins Gilman, one of the first writers to articulate the pitfalls of an androcentric world. She painted a vivid, entertaining picture of an alternative in the feminist utopian novel, Herland.

Black Lodges is masterminded by Steven Vogel, a writer, illustrator, thinker, activist, and leader of the new left. Steven’s work expounds on Marxist & Communist commentary through the lens of current events, fashion, music, design, art and propaganda. He has been cultivating a community and spreading anti-fascist design via his Black Lodges creative agency and newsletter. His work forms a clear vision of a world in which neither identity-based nor class-based oppression exists.

Badges

Sometimes you want to be easy to spot, other times more elusive. Designing for this reality is another part of our all eventualities ethos. Our badges snap onto our garments with custom-made magnets. They give our allies a blank canvas to hack our gear, creating visibility and becoming part of our community.
