I live outside of Philadelphia. I’m a graphic designer as well as partner in a screen printing studio called Studio Sevens. I’m also a dad to two boys and a husband.
How do you lean out, stay active, get out and explore nature?
We are very lucky to live by a fantastic trail that runs the length of the Wissahickon creek in Philadelphia. My wife and I try and get there and walk as much as we can. It is invigorating, relaxing and beautiful.
What are your tools for leaning out?
Comfortable supportive sneakers, compression socks, layers.
Tell us about your gear – what do you tend to bring/wear?
I have two Arc'teryx jackets. One hard shell and one soft for lighter rain / warmer months. A Patagonia Snap T for dryer weather, a Utopian Projects hat from my friend Matt, Bombas compression socks, New Balance 992’s, whatever sweatpants I can find, usually Champion reverse weave sweats, and an old band t-shirt.
Do you have a bug-out bag and if so, what’s in it?
I keep it all pretty close to home usually. I carry a waist bag from Rivendell mountain works that fits all my essentials. Keys, wallet, a few bucks.
What do you do to stay safe so you can really relax in nature?
A utopian projects hat as deer ticks are everywhere on the trail. My Bombas compression socks keep me from swelling up like a balloon.
Who inspires you in the outdoors?
My wife. She’s the one who gets me outside. She’s the one that tears me away from the computer. Without her I think I’d be in trouble.
